10th May 2017. I wasn’t too happy with the images of the wall browns I took on Friday so took the opportunity to re-visit Wiveton this morning before work. It was a good decision and in glorious weather I saw three different butterflies, and managed some better shots.
Having struggled to see green hairstreaks this year I was thrilled to find an area that had over six. They were very active and spent much of their time fighting, hence bits missing from wings, it was however great to watch.
It was nice to get my first images of a female orange tip, especially as it was nectaring on a bluebell.
