March 31st 2017. The lovely spring weather continues and many chiffchaffs are in song around Crostwight Heath. The one in the image above was very close, most were in the tree tops. Although a good number now over-winter in the country I still look forward to hearing them.
The butterflies are also enjoying the early warmth. Good numbers of comma, brimstone, peacock and small tortoiseshell are being seen. Also today a very early small white in the garden.
